Love Pokémon TCG? You Might Like Plonks
The part of Pokémon TCG that hooks most players is not the battles — it is cracking open a pack and seeing what comes out. Landing a chase card. Trading to complete a set. Watching your collection become something other players want.
Plonks is built around exactly that loop. Open packs, collect Plonks across eight rarity tiers, and trade with other players on a live marketplace. No IP license, no real-money packs, no download required.
Free account, starts immediately, first pack ready to open on registration.
The Collecting Loop — Without the Cost
Physical Pokémon packs cost real money. Pokémon TCG Live requires a download and has restricted trading. Pokémon TCG Pocket launched with no player-to-player trading at all.
In Plonks, tokens are earned in-game every day — through a login streak reward that reaches 1,500 tokens on day seven, and a daily spin wheel that can pay up to 5,000. You spend those tokens to open packs. No purchase required for any part of the game.
The marketplace is fully player-driven. Rare Plonks have genuine value — selling a Legendary or Mythic can fund several more pack openings. Active players who watch the market rarely run out of tokens.
Eight Rarity Tiers
Plonks has eight rarity tiers — more rungs on the ladder than most card games, which makes each tier feel distinct and each pull feel like it landed somewhere meaningful.
Secret sits at the top of what you can pull from packs — the chase tier, comparable to hitting a full-art rare in Pokémon. Below it is Mythic, then Legendary, then Epic. Common through Rare form the backbone of the marketplace and move constantly.

One persistent frustration with physical Pokémon TCG is variance. You can open 50 packs and not see a single chase card — and there is no floor, no guarantee it will come.
Plonks has a hard pity cap for each rarity tier — Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Secret. Every pack you open moves your counter forward. The worst case is always defined.
How the pity system works in detailReal Player-to-Player Trading
Pokémon TCG Pocket launched without any trading. Pokémon TCG Live has it, but trades are limited by card type and require a premium item to initiate.
In Plonks, trading is open to every account. List any item from your inventory on the marketplace at a price you set. Send direct offers to specific players. Browse listings to fill gaps in your own collection.
Prices are set by players, not the game. What something is worth depends on how many copies exist and how many people want it. Knowing when to hold and when to sell is part of how serious collectors play.
