Question 1

What is Plonks?

Accepted Answer

Plonks is a free browser-based collectible trading game. You open packs to collect items called Plonks, trade them with other players on the live marketplace, and compete on global leaderboards — no download required.

Question 2

What makes Plonks different from other online collecting games?

Accepted Answer

Most browser collecting games end at the pull — you open a pack and that is it. Plonks adds a full player-to-player trading marketplace, a daily reward and spin wheel to earn free tokens, and competitive leaderboards, making every item part of a living economy rather than just a personal gallery. It is also completely free.

Question 3

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Create a free account at plonks.org, then head to your dashboard. Claim your first daily reward to get starting tokens, spin the daily wheel for a bonus, then visit the Pack Store to open your first pack. Your collection builds from there — no payment details required to get started.

Question 4

Is Plonks free to play?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pack opening, trading, leaderboard — all of it costs nothing. You earn tokens by playing, and every part of the game is open to every account. No premium tier, no paywalled features.

Question 5

Do I need to download anything?

Accepted Answer

No download or installation is required. Plonks runs entirely in any modern web browser. You can register and start opening packs within minutes of visiting the site.

Question 6

Are my account and collection saved?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your account, collection, token balance, and trade history are all saved to your account automatically. As long as you log in, your progress will be there whenever you return — even from a different device or browser.

Question 7

What rarity tiers does Plonks have?

Accepted Answer

Plonks has eight rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Secret, and Exclusive. Secret is the rarest tier you can pull from packs. Ultra Packs give you the best odds, but every pack type can reach higher rarities at trace odds. A pity system guarantees progress toward each tier, but only for rarities present in the pack you are opening. There is also a special Exclusive tier for account-bound items earned through milestones like the Day 28 daily reward.

Question 8

What is the Exclusive rarity tier?

Accepted Answer

Exclusive is a special tier in Plonks for account-bound items. Unlike every other rarity, Exclusive Plonks cannot be pulled from any pack. The only way to obtain one is by reaching Day 28 of the daily reward cycle — which also awards 2,500 bonus tokens. Exclusive Plonks are permanently bound to the account that earned them and cannot be traded or listed on the marketplace.

Question 9

How do I earn tokens to open packs?

Accepted Answer

There are several ways to earn tokens: claiming your daily reward (which grows the longer your login streak), spinning the daily wheel for a random bonus between 100 and 5,000 tokens, selling items on the marketplace, completing trades with other players, and recycling unwanted items back into tokens.

Question 10

How does trading work?

Accepted Answer

Once you have items in your inventory you can list them on the marketplace, send direct trade offers to other players, or browse listings to find items you want. The marketplace is driven entirely by players, so the value of each Plonk reflects what collectors are actually willing to pay.

Question 11

What are the different pack types?

Accepted Answer

There are four pack types — Basic, Standard, Premium, and Ultra. Each has a different price and different odds. All pack types can drop higher rarities at trace odds: even a Basic Pack has a small chance at Legendary. Ultra Packs give you the best overall odds for Mythic and Secret. A pity system tracks your progress toward each rarity, but pity counters only build for rarities that are present in the pack you are opening — Basic packs do not build Mythic or Secret pity. Note that Exclusive Plonks are not available from any pack — they are exclusively earned through the Day 28 daily reward.

Question 12

How does the leaderboard work?

Accepted Answer

The leaderboard ranks players across three categories: total tokens, unique Plonks collected, and total packs opened. You can switch between categories to see where you stand in each. Rankings update each time you visit the leaderboard.

Question 13

How do I get help or report a problem?

Accepted Answer

If you run into a technical issue before signing up, try refreshing the page or using a different browser — Plonks works in any modern browser without plugins. For in-game issues or questions, the community chat is the fastest way to get help from other players and the team once you are logged in.

Question 14

Can I play on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Plonks is designed to run in any modern web browser, including mobile browsers. No app download is needed — just visit plonks.org on your phone and log in to your account.

Question 15

Does Plonks work on a school Chromebook?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Plonks runs entirely in the browser with no download or installation required, which means it works on Chromebooks, school laptops, library computers, and any other device with a modern browser. Nothing needs to be installed on the device itself.

Question 16

What are the best packs to open in Plonks?

Accepted Answer

It depends on what you are after. Basic Packs are the most efficient way to build up a large collection quickly, since they cost fewer tokens per open. Standard Packs are a solid all-around choice for regular daily play. If you are specifically hunting Epics and Legendaries, Premium Packs shift the odds in that direction. Ultra Packs have the best overall odds for Mythic and Secret — though all pack types can technically reach those rarities at trace odds. One important note on pity: pity counters only build for rarities present in the pack you are opening, so if you are trying to build Mythic or Secret pity you need to open packs that can actually drop those tiers. The Exclusive tier sits above everything, but it cannot be pulled from packs — only earned through the Day 28 daily reward.

Question 17

How does the daily login streak work?

Accepted Answer

The login streak runs on a 7-day cycle. Day one gives you 100 tokens, and the reward grows each consecutive day, reaching 1,500 tokens on day seven. If you miss a day your streak resets to 1 — but your position in the 28-day reward calendar is saved separately, so you do not lose progress toward milestone rewards like the Day 28 Lucky Plonk. You do lose the streak multiplier for the spin wheel until you rebuild it.

Question 18

How does the daily spin wheel work?

Accepted Answer

The daily spin wheel gives you one free spin per day for a random token bonus. The possible range is 100 to 5,000 tokens. The wheel is weighted toward smaller amounts, so landing the maximum payout is rare — but it does happen. Spin it every day and the tokens add up fast alongside your daily login reward.

Question 19

How many Plonks collectibles are there in total?

Accepted Answer

There are currently 39 unique Plonks collectibles across five themed collections: Originals, Elemental, Digital, Cosmic, and Inferno. Each collectible has a fixed rarity tier, from Common through Secret, plus a special Exclusive tier. New collections may be added over time, so the total can grow.

Question 20

How does the marketplace work?

Accepted Answer

The marketplace is a player-driven trading hub where you can list any Plonk you own for sale and browse items that other players have listed. To sell, go to your inventory, select an item, and set a token price. To buy, browse the marketplace and purchase any listing you can afford. Prices are set entirely by players — the market value of any Plonk reflects what collectors are actually willing to pay for it.

Question 21

Is Plonks safe for kids?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Plonks is a relaxed collecting game with no violence, no time pressure, and no content that would be inappropriate for younger players. The core loop is simple: open packs, collect items, trade with others. The in-game chat is available after account creation, but the game itself does not require social interaction to enjoy. Parents should note that the game is free to play and does not require any purchase to participate fully.

Question 22

What happens when I pull a Mythic or Secret rarity?

Accepted Answer

Both Mythic and Secret pulls trigger a server-wide announcement broadcast to every player currently online. Mythic Plonks carry significant marketplace value and are prized by collectors. Secret sits above Mythic as the rarest pullable tier. Ultra Packs give you the best odds for both, though all pack types have a chance at trace odds — and the pity system guarantees both tiers within a fixed number of eligible opens.

Question 23

What is the rarest item in Plonks?

Accepted Answer

Secret is the rarest rarity tier you can pull from packs in Plonks, sitting above Mythic. Ultra Packs give you the best odds (roughly 1 in 1,200 per open), and Premium Packs have a trace chance (about 1 in 14,000). A pity system guarantees a Secret within a fixed number of eligible opens — but pity only builds when you open packs that include Secret in their pool, so Basic and Standard Packs do not count toward Secret pity. Pulling a Secret triggers a server-wide announcement visible to every player currently online. There is also a special Exclusive tier for milestone rewards like the Day 28 daily login reward.

Question 24

How do I earn tokens every day without spending money?

Accepted Answer

Two core daily sources: your daily login reward, which starts at 100 tokens and grows on a 7-day streak up to 1,500 tokens on day seven (miss a day and the streak resets to 1), and the daily spin wheel, which awards a random amount between 100 and 5,000 tokens. You can also earn tokens by selling items on the marketplace or recycling unwanted items. None of these require any purchase.

Question 25

What happened to Blacket?

Accepted Answer

Blacket is a community-run browser collectible game that has experienced multiple outages and rebuilds over its lifetime due to its open-source, community-operated infrastructure. If you are looking for a stable alternative with the same pack-opening and collecting loop, Plonks is purpose-built for exactly that — with added features like an eight-tier rarity system, player-to-player trading, and daily free token rewards.
